Le dernier film muet de Josef von Sternberg (1929) est maintenant perdu. Il raconte la lutte de Lena Smith pour sauver son jeune fils des autorités à Vienne au début du XXe siècle.  Mark Johnson a réimaginé ce film dans une présentation qu’il raconte en direct en anglais.  Intertitres en allemand viennois. Un résumé de la présentation en français sera disponible.

Josef von Sternberg’s last silent film (1929) is now lost.  It tells of the struggle of Lena Smith to rescue her young son from the authorities in early 20th Century Vienna.  Mark Johnson has reimagined this film in a presentation that he narrates live in English.  Intertitles in Viennese German.
