« Aucun. Les deux ont perdu.
Cette histoire, inspirée des temps anciens (avant la naissance des mythes japonais) où les gens traversaient les mers pour arriver au Japon, et du folklore du peuple indigène Ainu des îles du nord, suit le voyage d'un réfugié de guerre. Après avoir été pris dans une tempête dans un monde post-apocalyptique, le réfugié émerge sur la côte nord où les royaumes des vivants et des morts sont entrelacés.
La forêt brûle, les villes tombent et les gens deviennent des ombres, tandis que le voyageur traverse un monde labyrinthique dans une solitude sans fin. Dans un environnement rude, axé sur la survie, où les concepts de bien et de mal n'ont aucune signification, l'histoire du désespoir d'un être humain solitaire se déroule. Sur fond de danse traditionnelle nô, profondément ancrée dans le paysage japonais, l'histoire évolue vers une réunion et une harmonie entre la nature et l'humanité.
Au bout de ce voyage, où le passé et l'avenir s'entrechoquent, que trouvera-t-il ?

“Neither. Both lost.”
This story, inspired by the ancient times before the birth of Japan’s myths, when people crossed the seas to reach Japan, and by the folklore of the indigenous Ainu people of the northern islands, follows the journey of a war refugee. After being caught in a storm in a post-apocalyptic world, the refugee washes up on the northern shore where the realms of the living and the dead intertwine.
The forest burns, cities sink, and people become shadows, while the traveler wanders through a labyrinthine world in endless solitude. In a harsh, survival-driven environment, where the concepts of good and evil hold no meaning, the tale of one lonely human’s desperate thirst to live unfolds. Set against the backdrop of traditional Noh dance, deeply rooted in Japan’s landscape, the story evolves toward a reunion and harmony between nature and humanity.
At the end of this journey, where past and future collide, what will he find?
