Etsuko Kawaguchi brings her hypnotic koto music back to Adelaide after 5 years.

"Utilising both her voice and koto, she created soundscapes that brought to mind
secluded groves of cherry blossoms and solitude; it was like entering a state of
mesmerising meditation. . . Her voice resonated throughout the audience as she plucked and beat the strings of her koto. The silence was such that when she finished each song it was as if everyone had forgotten to breathe until that moment.

It summons emotion, it’s impressive and it’ll leave you in awe. It brings images of traditional Japanese culture and landscapes to mind with such ease that it feels like you’re imagining it all yourself, as if you’ve been somehow transported to a different time and place, and who could ask for more." (RIP IT UP)
